Why “Martha & Mary”?

The theme for this year’s conference, “Martha & Mary,” is deeply inspired by the biblical story of two sisters with distinct, yet equally valuable, approaches to serving and living (Luke 10:38-42).
 
Martha was the worker, the doer, the organizer. She was busy preparing, managing, and making sure everything was in place.
Mary, on the other hand, sat at the feet of Jesus, choosing presence over productivity, and spiritual fulfillment over societal expectations.

For many of us, the tension between being a Martha and a Mary is one we know well. As entrepreneurs, leaders, and visionaries, we carry the weight of running businesses, managing households, and making an impact in our communities. We are expected to always be on, always producing, always achieving. But at what cost? This conference will explore the balance between the two. How do we work, create, and lead like Martha without losing the peace, wisdom, and spiritual grounding of Mary? How do we build wealth without losing wellness? How do we expand our brands while staying rooted in our faith? How do we prioritize our purpose, our people, and our peace?
