Why “Martha & Mary”? The theme for this year’s conference, “Martha & Mary,” is deeply inspired by the biblical story of two sisters with distinct, yet equally valuable, approaches to serving and living (Luke 10:38-42). Martha was the worker, the doer, the organizer. She was busy preparing, managing, and making sure everything was in place. Mary, on the other hand, sat at the feet of Jesus, choosing presence over productivity, and spiritual fulfillment over societal expectations.
